Local Area

As well being a mecca for watersports enthusiasts Bude is well known for its sandy beaches and quiet secret coves, offering the best seaside holiday anybody could wish for. There are also many nearby beaches, most notably Widemouth bay offering over 2 miles of open sand when the tide is out.

Less well known is Budes unique sea lock (one of the only three in the world) and canal, which is wonderful to row on or to take the towpath running alongside it and on to the pretty village of Marhamchurch.

Bude and surrounding villages have a good selection of cafes, restuarants, pubs and bistros. However if you want to cook up something delicious at home you could visit one of the wonderful farmers markets, farm shops, butchers or fishmongers supplying locally sourced produce. We would be happy to recommend one to you.

Boscastle is a 30 minute drive away. The world famous Eden project is only an hours drive away. and you are only 40 minutes from Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor.
