Surfing, Kayaking, Bodyboarding, Windsurfing, kite surfing, the list of watersports is endless. If you want to improve your own surfing skills or teach your children the basics there are a umber of good local Surf Schools.
The newly improved Canal is unique to Bude and has one of the only three Sea Lock Gates in the World. Take the towpath along the picturesque canal and then follow the old canal route out into the surrounding countryside for a really memorable walk. Alternatively you could hire a row boat and maybe reward yourelf on you return with a cream tea at the Canal-side TeaRooms.
There are endless beautiful coastal walks,or to experience stunning wide open countryside around Bude take one of the many inland country footpaths.
If Golf is your thing, why not try out Bude’s renowned Links Golf Course? or visit Ivyleaf 9 hole for a quick fix. If you are happy to travel further afield you’ve the famous St Enodoc at Rock, less than an hour away.
Horse Riders are well provided for, with good, safe riding stables:- Efford Down, and Maer Lane in Bude or Gooseham Barton a little bit further out of town at Morwenstow.
